Job Opening: Senior Account Executive - Digital Strategy
Maven Communications, a 2025 winner of the Philadelphia Business Journal’s Best Places to work designation and recognized as one of the region’s 50 most community-minded companies by the Chamber of Commerce of Greater Philadelphia and Points of Light Foundation, is looking for a seasoned digital marketing specialist to join our growing agency as a Senior Account Executive, digital strategy (SAE).
The SAE is a hands-on digital strategist and content creator responsible for developing and executing comprehensive digital communications campaigns for a diverse portfolio of clients. This role focuses primarily on content creation and execution across social media, email, blogs, and paid digital platforms, while also serving as a client contact to ensure seamless delivery of digital programs. The SAE develops content calendars and creates engaging multimedia content, manages paid social campaigns, and identifies influencer partnership opportunities. This position requires a strategic thinker who can translate client goals into compelling digital content and measurable campaigns, with the ability to work independently while collaborating with account teams to deliver results. The SAE will have the opportunity to shape digital strategies, build expertise across emerging platforms, and grow within a dynamic, collaborative agency environment.
Primary Responsibilities
Digital Strategy & Content Creation
- Develop and execute comprehensive digital marketing strategies aligned with client business objectives
- Create high-quality, engaging content across multiple formats including social media posts, graphics, blog posts, e-newsletters, videos, and other digital-first materials
- Design eye-catching graphics and visual content using Canva and other design tools
- Write compelling copy for diverse digital channels and audiences, adapting tone and style to match brand voices
- Develop and manage content calendars for multiple client accounts across industries
- Create platform-specific content for Facebook, Instagram, X, LinkedIn, TikTok, Pinterest, and emerging social platforms
- Monitor digital trends and platform updates to keep client strategies current and effective
- Develop multimedia content including short-form videos and interactive posts (video experience a plus but not required)
Paid Media Strategy and Execution
- Support the development and execution of paid social media campaigns across platforms including Meta and LinkedIn
- Assist in creating paid media strategies based on client goals, target audiences, and budget parameters
- Learn and apply campaign optimization techniques including budget management, bidding strategies, and audience targeting
- Collaborate on ad creative development and testing approaches
- Contribute recommendations on paid media investments based on platform performance
Influencer Management
- Research and identify relevant influencers and content creators aligned with client brand values and target audiences
- Develop influencer outreach strategies and recruitment approaches
- Support the development of influencer partnership programs and campaigns
- Track influencer campaign performance and provide recommendations for optimization
Campaign Analytics & Optimization
- Monitor and analyze social media and digital campaign performance using platform analytics and reporting tools
- Track KPIs, prepare monthly reports, and deliver actionable insights to clients and internal teams
- Conduct A/B testing on content, creative, and targeting to continuously improve campaign results
- Identify optimization opportunities and implement data-driven improvements to ongoing campaigns
Client & Account Management
- Serve as day-to-day contact for assigned clients, managing communications and project timelines
- Participate in client meetings and calls; prepare agendas, track action items, and follow up on deliverables
- Manage multiple client accounts and deadlines simultaneously, ensuring high-quality and timely execution
- Maintain client reports, status documents, and campaign trackers
- Proactively identify opportunities to enhance digital programs and deliver added value
- Support senior account leads in developing integrated communication strategies that include PR elements such as press releases and media outreach when appropriate
Essential Skills Needed for Success in This Position
- Content Creation Expertise: Strong writing, graphic design, and multimedia content creation skills with a portfolio demonstrating work across digital channels
- Digital Strategy: Proven ability to develop and execute digital marketing strategies that drive engagement and meet business objectives
- Technical Proficiency: Experience with social media management tools (Sprout Social, Hootsuite), design platforms (Canva), email marketing programs (MailChimp, Constant Contact), Microsoft Suite, and Google Suite
- Platform Knowledge: Deep familiarity with major social media platforms, their algorithms, best practices, and advertising capabilities
- Creative Problem-Solving: Strategic, creative thinker who brings fresh ideas and innovative solutions to digital challenges
- Analytical Mindset: Comfort with data analysis, performance metrics, and translating insights into actionable recommendations
- Paid Media Proficiency: Hands-on experience or strong interest in planning, launching, and optimizing paid social media campaigns with demonstrated results (preference for previous experience)
- Project Management: Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines in a fast-paced environment
- Communication Skills: Superior written and verbal communication skills with attention to detail
- Collaborative Spirit: Team player who thrives in an agency setting and works effectively across disciplines
- Adaptability: Comfortable with evolving digital landscapes and quick to learn new platforms and tools
Nice to Have:
- Experience with Adobe InDesign or other Adobe Creative Suite programs
- Video production and editing skills
- Experience in influencer marketing programs
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in marketing, digital media, communications, PR, journalism, or related field
- 4-6 years of relevant agency or in-house marketing experience, including internships
- Demonstrated portfolio of digital content creation work across multiple platforms
- Experience developing and executing digital marketing strategies
