Now Hiring: Social & Digital Account Executive


Maven Communications is currently seeking a social and digital account executive to join our team in Center City, Philadelphia.  Maven provides high impact public relations and integrated communications services to our client roster of B-to-B and B-to-C companies across a variety of industries, including real estate, professional services, arts and culture, and nonprofit.

Candidates for the social account executive position should have a solid foundation in organic social media, paid social media, and emerging social media platforms and trends. We anticipate this role will be 60% social/digital marketing and 40% traditional public relations. The ideal candidate for this position is a self-starter, team player, and a strategic thinker.


Account Management

  • Understand and support client goals and objectives
  • Have knowledge of clients’ industry, competitors, and marketplace
  • Apply problem solving skills and offer suggestions before a problem occurs
  • Identify relevant trends in the market and understand how they apply to the client
  • Can successfully work on multiple accounts simultaneously

Client Relations

  • Support/act as the day-to-day client contact for multiple clients
  • Participate in face-to-face client meetings and conference calls
  • Coordinate client meetings, compile agendas, and conduct follow-up
  • Work with a team to strategize short-term and long-term strategies for clients

Social Media/Digital

  • Develop social media strategies that tie into the larger marketing strategy of the company
  • Execute strategy and participate in all client social media channels including regular postings and engagement
  • Understand social media metrics and how to deliver insightful reporting on key performance indicators
  • Keep a pulse on emerging platforms and trends that are relevant to our work and clients
  • Experience with online influencer targeting and marketing a plus

Media Relations

  • Research, write, and distribute press releases, pitches, and other written materials to targeted media
  • Develop relationships with the media who cover the client and industry and serve as the liaison between the two
  • Assist in the planning and management of client events, including press conferences and promotional events


  • 2-4 years in-house communications or agency experience
  • Strong proficiency of social media for business
  • Experience with email platforms such as MailChimp
  • Experience with CMS such as TrendKite, Hootsuite, and Sprout
  • Understanding of social media paid products, influencer partnerships and ad technology
  • Strong story telling or media pitching capabilities
  • Excellent writing skills
