Maven Communications Named 2025 Honoree of the Civic 50 Greater Philadelphia

We are pleased to announce that Maven Communications has been named a 2025 honoree of the Civic 50 Greater Philadelphia by the Chamber of Commerce for Greater Philadelphia, in partnership with globally recognized nonprofit Points of Light, lead partner the Philadelphia Foundation, and other local partners.

Modeled after Points of Light’s national program, the Civic 50 Greater Philadelphia measures and recognizes civic-minded companies using their time, talent, and resources to drive social impact within their organizations and communities – setting the standard for civic engagement in the region.

The 2025 Civic 50 Greater Philadelphia honorees represent private and public companies, as well as nonprofits, agencies, and institutions of more than 10 employees operating in the 11-county Greater Philadelphia region. Companies have been selected based on four dimensions of their community engagement program: investment of resources, integration across business functions, institutionalization through policies and systems, and impact measurement.

At Maven Communications, community engagement has always been central to our mission and values. Through our Maven Gives Back volunteer program, all employees are permitted to use as many work hours as they’d like to volunteer for causes that are important to them. On average, our team volunteers over 300 hours per year through individual and group volunteering efforts. Additionally, we regularly take on pro bono work for organizations whose missions align with our values.

“The commitment to service extends beyond just good corporate citizenship, it also strengthens our team and enhances the work we do for clients,” said Rebecca Devine, Principal of Maven Communication. “When you’re surrounded by colleagues who care deeply about making a difference, that passion and dedication shows up in every client interaction and campaign we develop.”

“We’re honored to receive this distinction for our continuing efforts to connect our organization’s values to the needs of our community,” said Jessica Sharp, Principal of Maven Communications. “This recognition validates what we’ve always believed – that businesses have a responsibility to contribute to the communities where they operate, and that doing so makes us stronger as an organization.”

Since 2011, the national Civic 50 has provided a standard for superior corporate citizenship and has showcased how companies drive social impact in their business and within the community. Maven Communications was previously recognized with a Corporate Philanthropy Award by The Philadelphia Inquirer in 2019.

The recognition comes alongside another recent honor – Maven Communications was also named one of the 2025 Best Places to Work by the Philadelphia Business Journal in the micro company category. The Philadelphia Business Journal‘s Best Places to Work program recognizes the top employers in the region each year, measuring company culture and taking into consideration compensation, benefits, and trust in senior leadership.

“These complementary recognitions reflect our belief that creating a workplace where people feel valued and supported naturally extends to creating a company that values and supports its community,” added Jessica. “When your company’s values extend beyond your office walls, it creates the kind of authenticity that resonates with clients, employees, and the broader community.”

Maven is grateful to be recognized alongside other organizations that are committed to making Greater Philadelphia a better place to live and work, and we look forward to continuing this important work in the years ahead.
