Maven Communications Welcomes New Clients, Continued Focus on Strategic Growth

PHILADELPHIA, PA – November 2024 – Maven Communications is pleased to announce the addition of several notable brands to the firm’s client roster. Included in the new cohort of clients are Penn State Dickinson Law, the oldest law school in Pennsylvania, Children’s Scholarship Fund Philadelphia (CSFP), a nonprofit that provides scholarship funding for Philadelphia families to choose tuition-based K-8 schools, Philadelphia Foundation, a community foundation focused on increasing philanthropic investment in Greater Philadelphia, Creative Philadelphia, an organization that provides creative and economic opportunities for all Philadelphians to thrive through the arts, and Pennsylvania Association of Area Agencies on Aging (P4A), a statewide association of Area Agencies on Aging that serves as advocates and resources for older Pennsylvanians.

“We’re thrilled to welcome each of these new and notable clients to Maven,” said Jessica Sharp, Principal of Maven Communications. “Developing a comprehensive strategy for clients before launching into a multifaceted communications program is core to how we successfully help clients achieve their goals. Each of these organizations allow us the opportunity to enhance established and respected brands to further position them for success. We’re honored that they have chosen Maven to do this important work.”

The Penn State University has embarked on a reunification project that unites Penn State Dickinson Law School and Penn State Law into a single entity. Maven, along with branding and digital strategy agency Whitepenny, will create a strategy for this reunification that leverages the strength of both schools.

Philadelphia Foundation has a century-long history of connecting community-minded individuals with people and organizations that are helping to build a Greater Philadelphia Region. In preparation for launching a new strategic plan in 2025, Maven is creating a complimentary communications strategy to enhance visibility, increase awareness, and ultimately help to make a bigger impact in the region.

CSFP is a privately-funded program whose mission is to provide children from under-resourced Philadelphia families with financial access to quality, safe, K-8th grade, tuition-based schools, thereby increasing their long-term economic and social success. Maven has been engaged to develop and execute a communications strategy that will increase visibility, brand awareness, and competitive positioning in the nonprofit space.

Established in 1973 as a result of the Older Americans Act, Pennsylvania’s 52 Area Agencies on Aging (AAAs) have served the Commonwealth’s 67 counties by providing information about resources and service providers, assessing needs for service, making referrals to case managers, and linking to services. P4A is the association that oversees all 52 AAAs. Maven, along with public affairs agency Bellevue Public Affairs, will create and execute a strategy for visibility, advocacy, and continued funding.

Creative Philadelphia, formerly the City of Philadelphia’s Office of Arts, Culture and the Creative Economy, recently received a $1M Bloomberg Philanthropies Public Art Challenge grant to create a temporary, free, public art project that addresses a local civic challenge. Maven is working with Creative Philadelphia to launch the project, called Healing Verse Germantown, and bring external visibility to the impact of the program.

Earlier in the year, Maven welcomed several additional clients including PGW, the largest municipally owned gas utility in the country; Kessler Topaz Meltzer & Check LLC, a plaintiff class action law firm with offices in Radnor, PA, and San Francisco; PPR Capital Management, a private equity real estate firm located in Berwyn, PA, and Gift of Life Donor Program, a Philadelphia-based non-profit leader in organ and tissue donation.

Since the firm’s founding in 2007, Maven has provided strategic public relations, brand awareness, and crisis counseling to leading regional and national organizations in nonprofit, professional services, A/E/C, and education industries. Long-term client partnerships are a point of pride for the firm, with many client relationships lasting more than a decade.
