White and Williams LLP is pleased to announce the official “adoption” of Thomas Edison Charter School in Wilmington, Delaware. The two-year engagement kicked-off on September 17th with the donation of $5,000, providing new uniforms, laundry detergent and other supplies for the school’s uniform clothes closet.
The donation was made as part of the firm’s Adopt-A-School Initiative, which supports the local communities where White and Williams operates through educational investment. Ensuring students have access to clean clothes and extra uniforms helps reduce absenteeism, improves class engagement and helps students succeed. Employees of the law firm will also participate in career days throughout the school year.
“My goal as principal is to ensure all our students are provided with the tools, resources and support they need to receive the best education possible,” said Salome Thomas-EL, Principal of Thomas Edison Charter School. “We can’t thank White and Williams enough for their investment in our students’ education and well-being. Thomas Edison is the third school adopted by White and Williams in Wilmington. The firm has also adopted elementary schools in Lehigh Valley, Philadelphia and New York City.
