Why Brands Should Care About Snapchat

When Snapchat turned down $3 billion from Facebook, the response commonly heard wasn't “wow” but “who’s Snapchat and why does Mark Zuckerberg think they're worth that much?” Snapchat, an app that appeals to young adults, teens, and tweens, seems to have little value considering it’s notorious for having the ability to instantly delete “snaps” (pictures and videos) sent to another user after ten seconds. How could a network built on fleeting content be so important or widely used?
