Maven partnered with leading fintech company FreedomPay to support an integrated content, social media and media relations strategy as the company expanded internationally.
Raising Awareness for FreedomPay
FreedomPay, a global leader in secure commerce technology for lodging, gaming, retail, restaurants, stadiums and other hospitality merchants, engaged Maven to raise awareness for the company globally and position the company for continued growth.
To promote FreedomPay as a leader in the payments and technology industry, Maven created and executed an integrated communications campaign consisting of proactive and reactive media relations, social media, thought leadership via speaking opportunities, blog content, award submissions and trade show support.
Maven implemented 15 unique campaigns for FreedomPay, including positioning leadership as experts on the TLS 1.2 protocol, partnership announcements with payments leaders such as Alipay, and more. Maven also partnered with the in-house marketing department to announce the company’s first European office expansion in the UK. In tandem with campaign support, the Maven team coordinated on-site media interviews with reporters and conducted live social promotion at more than 30 prestigious industry trade shows, including ETA Transact, HITEC and Money 20/20.
Maven secured more than 100 earned media placements in top tier trade publications such as PYMNTS, The Nilson Report, Digital Transactions, Electronic Transactions Association, The Green Sheet and Mobile Payments Today. During the campaign, all social media platforms grew organically in the nine months, with LinkedIn growing over 25% and Facebook growing 14%.
Maven also facilitated award submissions on behalf of FreedomPay. As a result, the company was named as a Top Company to Work For by the Timmy Awards, and a FreedomPay leader was named to the Electronic Transactions Association (ETA) 40 Under 40 list.
