Children’s Scholarship Fund Philadelphia Hosts Over 30 Schools at the Return of CSFP’s Annual K-8th Grade Partner School Fair

PHILADELPHIA, PAChildren’s Scholarship Fund Philadelphia (CSFP), Pennsylvania’s largest and most diverse Pre-K-8th grade scholarship program, welcomed hundreds of families to its Partner School Fair held at the Community College of Philadelphia on November 9th. The event, designed for families seeking private educational options for their children, introduced attendees to a selection of CSFP’s partner schools, which include a mix of over 150 private schools. In addition to learning about the different schools and meeting school leaders, families had the opportunity to meet with CSFP staff to learn more about the scholarship application process.

“CSFP believes that education is personal, and every family deserves to send their children to a school that best meets their needs. Our annual Partner School Fair is a great way for families to learn about the variety of schools in Philadelphia and to help them determine which might be best for their children,” said Keisha Jordan, President and CEO of Children’s Scholarship Fund Philadelphia. “We’re proud to expand educational opportunities for all of our city’s youth.”

Attendees at the Partner School Fair also received free school supplies and participated in a raffle to win swag and gift cards. Throughout the event, CSFP staff, school leaders, and Parent Ambassadors connected with prospective scholarship families to answer questions and share experiences.

“I’m proud to champion Children’s Scholarship Fund Philadelphia because of what the organization has done for my family,” said Emily Santiago, parent of two CSFP scholarship recipients. “Our CSFP scholarships gave us the freedom to choose which school our children attend. Without CSFP, I wouldn’t have been able to do so.”

CSFP focuses on providing Pre-K-8th scholarships to nurture students’ cognitive growth, social skills, and lifelong abilities, which are essential for long-term success. Eligible CSFP families must live in Philadelphia, have a child entering Pre-K-8th grade and meet income guidelines. Families must contribute at least $500 towards their child’s tuition each year. Scholarship awards range from $1,250 – $3,350, and recipients are supported through the completion of eighth grade, contingent upon meeting eligibility requirements.

Families interested in applying for a scholarship should do so by November 15, 2024, to be entered into the December lottery. Parents and guardians are encouraged to take advantage of this priority deadline, which provides the greatest likelihood of receiving a scholarship. All other applications will be entered into the Lottery conducted in March 2025.
