McCarthy more than doubles office space and staff in Q4 2022; Company welcomes tax veteran John Blake to senior leadership team
Blue Bell, PA and Tinton Falls, NJ, November 14, 2022 – McCarthy & Company, PC, a leading accounting and advisory firm named a 2022 Best Accounting Firm to Work For by Accounting Today, has announced the company is growing in both personnel and office space during Q4 2022. The firm has acquired NJ-based accounting firm, Frank Leonard & Associates, LLC., as well as hired partner John Blake, formerly of Klatzkin. In addition, McCarthy will be moving into a 6,600 square foot office space in One Hovchild Plaza in Tinton Falls, N.J., to accommodate the growing team.

Acquisition of Frank Leonard & Associates, LLC
On November 1, 2022, McCarthy merged in Frank Leonard & Associates, LLC, an accounting and consulting services firm. Based in Forked River, N.J., Frank Leonard & Associates has provided accounting and advisory services to transportation industry clients, with an emphasis on trucking and bus companies, for more than 40 years.
Joining the McCarthy team as a partner, Frank Leonard is a CPA veteran of more than 40 years with experience in tax, financial reporting, valuation and litigation services, and business consultation matters. A Stockton University alum, Leonard is well known within the industry, attending and speaking at seminars and conferences.

Also joining McCarthy from Frank Leonard and Associates is Ken Kang, CPA, serving as a Client Accounting Services Associate, an arm of the practice focused on providing businesses with a comprehensive suite of outsourced accounting solutions, and Jennifer Leonard, an Administrative Assistant.
John Blake, CPA, MBA Formerly of Klatzkin, Welcomed to Senior Leadership Team
Joining McCarthy on November 7, 2022, as tax partner in McCarthy’s New Jersey location, John Blake, CPA, MBA, brings 18 years of tax and accounting experience. A Rider University B.S. and MBA graduate, Blake will be the point-of-contact for all former Frank Leonard & Associate clients. In addition to tax and accounting work, Blake will focus on tax-related business development, thought leadership, enhancing McCarthy’s tax offerings, and providing additional leadership to the tax team.
New Jersey Office Expansion
With the recent acquisition and onboarding of new staff, construction is currently underway for McCarthy to move into a new office space which they will call home in mid-December. The fully company branded and renovated office will be located in their current office building, One Hovchild Plaza in Tinton Falls, N.J. The new space will be more than double the current office, with 6,600 square feet of space for their 19 staff members. With only seven New Jersey staff members in 2017, the company has nearly tripled in five years.
