McCarthy & Company’s Continued Growth Prompts Expansion of Pennsylvania Headquarters
McCarthy increases office space by nearly 3,000 square feet to meet the needs of 70-plus staff members, an increase from 21 employees pre-COVID
Blue Bell, PA, March 2, 2023 – McCarthy & Company, PC, a leading accounting, tax, and advisory firm named a 2022 Best Accounting Firm to Work For by Accounting Today and Top 50 Construction Accounting Firm by Construction Executive, has announced the company is expanding in office space this spring at their Montgomery County headquarters to accommodate their rapidly growing staff and client roster. In addition, the firm, which had 21 employees pre-COVID, has onboarded 51 employees in their Blue Bell office since early 2020.

Expansion to McCarthy’s Blue Bell office, located within the Walton Point Executive Center, began on March 1, 2023, with an estimated completion date of April 1. The renovation will include the removal of the front reception entrance wall and expanding office space by 2,852 square feet. McCarthy has occupied the Blue Bell office since January 1, 2022, and was previously located in Lafayette Hill for over 50 years. The new space will feature four offices and collaboration stations for accounting staff. A new concept for the McCarthy team, the collaboration stations, will be called “GAAP Street” as it will house the accounting and assurance team. “GAAP Street” is a play on words for generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP), an accounting firm standard when preparing financial statements.
The Blue Bell office expansion comes after similar news at McCarthy’s New Jersey office in late Q4 of 2022. In November 2022, after an acquisition and onboarding of new staff, construction began at McCarthy’s Tinton Falls location, including a new fully branded and renovated office. The new space more than doubled its previous size, increasing by 6,600 square feet for their 19 staff members. With only seven New Jersey staff members in 2017, the firm has nearly tripled in five years.
