New Workspace Promotes Creativity in a Restored Historic Warehouse, Welcoming Local Creators, Freelancers, and Entrepreneurs
Philadelphia, PA – (September 19, 2024) – Today, Silk Screen Studios is pleased to announce the grand opening of its state-of-the-art workspace, located at 179 W. Berks St. in Philadelphia. Offering 24/7 access, Silk Screen Studios is designed for professionals, entrepreneurs, and creators seeking a convenient and dynamic workspace.
Silk Screen Studios is in the former Photo Process Screen Manufacturing building, a historic warehouse that played a pivotal role in Fishtown’s industrial past. For decades, the warehouse served as a hub for silk screen printing and manufacturing, embodying the spirit of craftsmanship and production. The building has been thoughtfully restored to serve a new generation of creators and many of its original architectural elements remain intact, such as exposed brick walls and heavy timber beams to honor the legacy of the space.
“Transforming this historic brick and timber warehouse into Silk Screen Studios has been an exciting journey and we’ve worked hard to create a space where creativity can truly flourish,” said Justin Meshberg, Owner, Silk Screen Studios. “This space is designed to foster creativity and innovation, and we can’t wait to see what amazing projects our tenants bring to life here.”
Silk Screen Studios offers a variety of floorplans designed to meet the needs of creative professionals and entrepreneurs. Options range from 200 – 600 square-feet, and are equipped with high-end amenities, including high-speed internet, in-unit climate control, and app-controlled secure entrances. Members also enjoy access to a bike room, package room and kitchenettes on each floor, making it a versatile and inspiring environment.
By breathing new life into the structure, Silk Screen Studios continues the tradition of creativity and innovation within its historic walls.
