As a public relations student and intern, I often think a lot about what the classroom doesn’t teach students about PR. I’m finding out firsthand. As my internship progresses with Maven, I am learning from real world experience and building upon what I learned in the classroom. One lesson learned ‘in the field,’ is that public relations applies to more than just brands, companies and people. There are ‘PR parallels’ that can be applied outside the office that continuously help me to further my understanding and application of public relations.
