Jessica Sharp Named 2019 Young Entrepreneur of the Year by The Chamber of Commerce for Greater Philadelphia

Maven Communications is happy to announce that the small business board of The Chamber of Commerce for Greater Philadelphia has named Principal Jessica Sharp its 2019 “Young Entrepreneur of the Year.” This award recognizes an individual who has achieved business success before the age of 40 and demonstrates a high level of entrepreneurial spirit, leadership, perseverance, creativity and determination.

Jessica founded Maven Communications, along with Principal Rebecca Devine, in 2006, and has grown the firm from a two-person startup to one of the region’s most well-respected communications agencies.

Jessica serves on the Board of Directors of Girls Inc. of Greater Philadelphia and Southern New Jersey; the Advisory Board for the Gift of Life Family House; the Governing Board of Bala House Montessori School; and is a former President of the Legal Marketing Association, Metro Philadelphia Chapter. She is also a member of The Forum of Executive Women.

In June, Maven was selected as the 2019 Corporate Philanthropy Award Winner by The Philadelphia Inquirer in the category of Most Charitable Award – In-Kind for the agency’s volunteer program Maven Gives Back.

She holds a Master of Arts in Communication Management from Temple University and a Bachelor of Arts in Corporate Communications from Drexel University.

The award will be presented on Thursday, November 21, 2019 at SugarHouse Casino.
