Challenge

Maven was engaged to arm junior-level shareholders and associates at a Center City law firm with the necessary tools to market themselves effectively, and eventually generate new business for themselves and the firm.

Strategy

Since 2010 Maven has executed a comprehensive internal marketing program that educates junior-level staff on the importance of marketing themselves as a path to new business. Marketing plan initiatives include monthly marketing tip emails with easy-to-implement action items, quarterly hour-long education sessions that cover a specific marketing or business development topic, and individual attorney meetings to devise a personal marketing plan for business development. All initiatives are tailored to help junior-level attorneys target potential clients and increase positive exposure for themselves and the firm.

Results

The continued success of the internal marketing campaign is evident through increased attorney participation in networking and association events, an increase in the number of bylined article placements in regional and trade publications, high click-through rates for all marketing tip emails, and consistent attendance at all educational sessions. Feedback on the firm's internal communications platform has remained consistently positive among the firm's shareholders.
