Bringing Awareness to the Region's Largest Public Health Nonprofit

Challenge

Support internal and external communications for the region’s largest nonprofit public health institute, Public Health Management Corporation (PHMC), through a multifaceted strategy to increase awareness of the agency’s breadth of services, community impact and role in creating and sustaining healthier communities in the Philadelphia region.

Strategy

The PHMC communications campaign draws upon the organization’s robust health data and statistics to showcase the success of the organizations 250+ programs, 70 locations, and family of affiliates. To highlight PHMC’s innovative model, Maven created a 365-day communications cycle that includes messaging, thought leadership, events, media coverage and digital content.

Results

Some campaign highlights include extensive media coverage around data gathered from PHMC's Community Health Database; profile pieces on PHMC CEO, Richard Cohen; coordinating a Philadelphia Mayor’s forum on public health; a mini awareness campaign to highlight the company’s headquarter move to a collaborative open space; numerous award submissions and recognitions for individuals and the nonprofit; multiple location grand openings; internal newsletter content creation and annual report writing.
